Homosexual agenda penetrates New York!

The governor of New York has introduced a bill that would allow people with impeccable fashion sense to marry.

HOMOSEXUALS ARE AFTER OUR MILK!

Governor David Paterson introduced the bill on Thursday, and is championing it as a civil rights issue. Of course, some people aren’t so happy. Democrat Senator Ruben Diaz has already met with religious leaders to discuss strategies for blocking the bill. Not only that, but…

“I think it’s a laugh in the face of the new archbishop,” Diaz said Thursday before the start of his meeting in the Bronx. “The Jews just finished their holy week. The Catholics just received the new archbishop. The evangelical Christians just celebrated Good Friday and resurrection. He comes out to do this at this time? It’s a challenge the governor is sending to every religious person in New York, and the time for us has come for us to accept the challenge.”

I think I speak for everyone with half a sense of decency when I say that Sen. Diaz is a freaking douche. Seriously, how in the hell is the timing of this a challenge in any way shape or form? For one thing, he waited until the religious holidays were over to put forward the bill, though I couldn’t say if that was a deliberate action on his part; for another thing, this bill is something to celebrate. You know, some people might actually see the benefits of having a forward moving civil rights bill proposed around the time of their religious holiday, but you? No, you’d rather remind everyone that things were way better back in the old days when women knew their place and it was legal to stone gay men. Well, congratulations — you’ve managed to associate the Democrats with your backasswards Stone Age thinking…with any luck, you won’t be given the opportunity to run for the Senate again.

*breathes*

Whew. Well then, with any luck this bill will pass and we see New York start a campaign to legalise discrimination like the dicks in California did with Prop 8. Remember this?

If I see any ads like that on YouTube after this bill passes, I will personally fly to New York and bitchslap Ruben Diaz.

Don’t make me angry, New York. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.

I’m scared of libertarians and atheists. They want to impose their individual liberties on me and such.…as a society we can only be free if we follow the bible — particularly the chapters about cattle.

Oh yes indeed. Nothing like a bit of sarcasm to face-off with contemptible turds like the fundamentalists.

I suspect the litmus test for any bill of civil rights is that the religious lobby fervently oppose it … if that is the case then the governor of New York is onto a winner.

Being from NY I’m really hoping this will pass. Governor Paterson is finally doing something good for my state.

    @ Amy:

From your perspective, what sort of opposition do you think the bill will meet if it passes? Could a lobby like Prop 8 in California be successful in NY do you think? Or would it likely be shot down by public opinion?
