PS i work in television and film and no you don’t label props… you would be shot if a label “C” was visible when filming, not worth your job to stuff up that badly ;)

When dicussing evolution to the creationist/intelligent designer, I think you should have focused more on the fundamental principle of bottom up design, and how if you have propagation, random mutation and natural selection, then complicated structures can and will emerge from such a system.
I like to use the analogy of computer software. Most software is top down designed. But open source software is bottom up designed. Its first itteration will be crap. But people will add on it, and keep what is good. And people will add on that, and keep what is good. And in the end, you will have a better product, than any that is top down designed. Evolution of life is just one massive open source project :)
It is the same principle that Wikipedia is built upon too.

That is an interesting analogy Damon. I get what you are saying but I am not sure if I completely agree with you.
Open source software such as Wordpress (that this blog is based on) and wikipedia were built for a specific purpose. The developers were working towards a specific goal. I would probably suggest not using this in a debate with a creationists, because they could easily derail your argument by stating these small facts.
There is still a designer within this metaphor.
Anyway that’s just my opinion on it.
