    Yes, the speaker in the “that’s impossible” clip is clearly the Hammster himself. It’s from his lectures about god and evolution. I bet that this quote was followed by a bit similar to “Who should you always trust, god or the scientists” to which his sheep respond “God!”.

    On an unrelated note, isn’t it interesting that christians willingly refer to themselves as sheep?

    Awesome episode. Very nice interview.

    Wonder if Our Ken [cringe] would get much support at ‘G’day L.A.’? Assuming he didn’t turn to salt crossing the CA border.

    Thanks for raising the Rudd’s a Dudd issue. Hard to believe he wrote “The Religious Right Cannot Hijack Values”, 4 1/2 years ago;

    Then magically, three months post election Carol Johnson is moved to write in the same online platform, “Civil Unions in closet: Rudd bows to the religious right”;

    Still, I agree with him about Abbott being a Conservatives Conservative. Or as Kev says, “A combination of Rudyard Kipling and the Boy’s Own Annual”.

    And we all know what book Rudyard wrote… don’t we Gunga Din ;-)

    So.… is there anywhere to get the book? Or could you at least provide the ISBN so we could order a copy through our local co-op bookshop?

  5. 15
    Jason Ball says:

    You can order it through the Australian Skeptics website, however as it is currently under construction I understand the ‘shop’ section of the website isn’t live just yet. So stay tuned to http://skeptics.com.au

    I was not aware that catholic Spain had legalized same-sex marriage as stated in the podcast. Instead I thought that the law was promoted by the Spanish socialist government and passed by the parliament.

    Jason Ball says:

    I meant it was legalized by a predominantly Catholic society (ie Spain), I didn’t mean to infer that the “Catholics” themselves had legalized it.

    Miguel says:

    My impression from living in Spain is that it is a secular society. Otherwise, I liked the show!

    Jason Ball says:

    Yeah fair enough, you’re the one who lives there!
