This week I’m offering you a skeptical challenge and I’m really excited to see how a skeptic reacts to this kind of direct experiential challenge. I haven’t come across this kind of thing on any other site yet so hopefully this will be an interesting 20 minutes for you. But first a little background.

Back when I was around 19 a friend of mine told me about his brothers discovery of an amazing form of yoga in which he had become involved in. He and his wife were driving around Australia in their combi van to experience a bit more of our amazing country. It was on one of these long dark highways one night that was to change their lives (I add this last line for dramatic effect. Good huh). In fact it changed more than two lives that night. You see out of nowhere, before they could react, a large cow appeared in front of them standing in the middle of the road. The result was one very dead cow and one seriously damaged combi.

While they waited for the repairs to be done they found themselves in a large-ish town and in need of entertainment. On an event board they noticed two things on that night. One of them was a Sahaja Yoga meeting. They ended up going there and it had an extremely profound effect on them. What they experienced I also experienced back in Melbourne a little later and I became a follower myself for a number of years. It’s an experience I’m now going to ask you to go through. It’s called ‘self realisation’ and in short it is kind of like an Eastern baptism; except its claim is that your spirit will awaken from its dormant state and it will align all your chakras. Once completed you will becoming one with the collective unconscious and God. My challenge to you is to first watch the videos and go through the steps yourself.  This kind of thing happens frequently all over the world in free public meetings and there are millions of followers around the globe today.

Once its done post a comment with your thoughts on whether the experience actually had any effect on you and if not, why you think it might have worked so well on me way back then. But try to refrain from researching them first, make your comments then go read up.

So how did it go? Can you feel a breeze above your head? Do tell.
