A sad story of sheer stupidity.

This is a very sad tale of parental irresponsibility.

Are we going to wait until the child is dead, and then maybe, eventually, take action against the parents? Even if that happens, that little girl will still be dead.

Have we learned anything from the tragic death of Gloria Thomas? Is our government prepared to step in and take action before another child is dead, or are we just going to let it happen again? This time, hopefully, we have a chance to do something in time.

Ideally, I’d like to see the family extradited back to Australia — but Australia probably doesn’t have an extradition treaty with El Salvador.

El Salvador may have a history of war and political turmoil — but I’m sure they understand what it means to step in to save a child’s life from this terrible kind of negligence. Obviously they do have doctors that understand what needs to be done to save this child’s life — and hopefully their government can be persuaded to take the appropriate action, before it’s too late.

“Are you people seriously suggesting that God must come second to medicine? That this childs life, is worth more than her fathers soul?”

Yes that’s exactly what we’re saying. Having faith is fine, except when it endangers an innocent life. Praying does not fix cancer, medicine can. What these parents are doing is killing their child. Her death will be on their heads, and they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law for their negligence.

I’m sincerely hoping that Firesnake is being satirical, because frankly, that kind of arrogant blindness scares me.
