Yes, I hope my “interview” goes up online somewhere. It was basically the “Let’s ask this atheist some questions that we think he won’t be able to answer” kind of treatment that you expect from Ray Comfort’s minions. Seriously, it was a formulaic kind of thing — the guy interviewing me even had a little checklist that he had to look at (although he stopped needing to reference it as we talked).

I saw a whole lot of people with those books around Melb Uni and I was wondering where they’d come from… You’ll be pleased to know that I saw one student diligently ripping the introduction out.

It was unfortunately at Monash Clayton campus too. I had a lot of fun, as a biology (genetics) major in smashing them to pieces as they tried to hand them around. Saved a couple of people from being taken in by their little fiction (and got a few people a bit hot under the collar as well :)). When I had a look through the book at first I just burst out laughing. The ‘special introduction’ has text twice the size of the rest of the book, making it look rather infantile. However I feel they have done this on purpose, banking on the fact that the people they are going after are not biology people and will not get passed the introduction. By making it look easier to read, they maximise the number of people who will read their drivel (which includes large sections on god’s judgment and nature, which is clearly related to evolution!) and then not go on to read the real thing. Dirty and underhanded. Also a little frustrating is that there appeared to be no organised opposition to this from any group. Disheartening to say the least.

Unbelievable.…Brainwashed by atheistic evolution? I was brainwashed for the past 28 years by religious beliefs. Camps, church services, the Bible, Pastors and “God”…evolution isn’t brainwashing. It’s all about facts, and I’m just starting to freaking realize that!

Racism, disdain for women? Sounds like he’s talking about the Bible to me…

I dislike Kirk Cameron very much.

i have not read the book but from the few podcast iv come about that have reviewed it all you need to do is rip out the introduction and its all good , when ya get around to the read let us know if that is the case.

hate to see such a twist put to the best idea since agriculture.

I have heard they were at other universities yesterday as well, including but probably not limited to Monash as well as QUT in Queensland.
